I think that what you posted was actually very reasonable. But, think about this, suppose you composed a catchier title? I am not suggesting your information is not solid, but suppose you added a title that grabbed people's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda plain. You might peek at Yahoo's front page and watch how they create news headlines to get people to click. You might try adding a video or a related picture or two to get readers interested about what you've written. Just my opinion, it would make your website a little livelier.
